Are you new to the Saanich Peninsula?
The Peninsula Newcomers Club is a welcoming, social, independent, non-profit organization for women who have chosen the Saanich Peninsula as their new home and who would like to build friendships with other women. Membership is open to any woman who has moved to the Saanich Peninsula within the last three years.
Established in January 1987, the Peninsula Newcomers Club is situated on South Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and encompasses the area known as the Saanich Peninsula. The Saanich Peninsula extends from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal to the southern boundary of Central Saanich, and includes the towns of Sidney, Brentwood Bay and Saanichton.
Our unofficial motto, "Women helping women”, personifies what we do. We offer opportunities to meet new people and develop friendships in a non-threatening environment, through a variety of social gatherings and activities that are organized by, and for, our members. In addition to our regular membership luncheon meetings, we have activities that involve cerebral, physical, eating and artisanal themes.
Each month, September to June, we distribute a Club newsletter via email that updates members on club events and activities. We also share information with our members on amenities, services and facilities throughout south Vancouver Island in our Grapevine Newsletter.
